Sell Similar: Duplicate a Listing

Sell Similar allows you to quickly create a new listing by copying an existing one and making small adjustments, instead of starting from scratch.

When to Use Sell Similar

Use Sell Similar when:

  • Products share many of the same attributes (titles, descriptions, specs, category mappings)

  • Listings are similar but not identical

  • You want each product to remain a separate listing

  • Only minor changes are needed (e.g., branding, packaging, compliance details, channel-specific tweaks)

Sell Similar is especially useful when expanding catalogs, launching similar SKUs, or creating channel-specific versions of existing listings.

Sell Similar vs. Variations

Sell Similar is not a replacement for variations.

  • Variations are used when products belong together under a single parent listing (for example, size or color options).

  • Sell Similar is used when products should remain independent listings but share much of the same data.

Both features support their own SKUs, pricing, and inventory—Sell Similar simply optimizes the creation process for similar items.

What Gets Copied

When using Sell Similar, Listing Mirror copies key listing data from the original listing, including:

  • Title and description

  • Category and attribute mappings

  • Custom Attributes and mapped fields

  • Channel-specific listing settings (where applicable)

  • Images
  • A new SKU is created using the initial SKU with COPY placed at the end. You can edit it prior to launching the listing.

You can then modify any fields as needed before publishing.

How to Create a Sell Similar Listing

  1. Navigate to the listing you want to copy

  2. Click the 3-Dot menu in the top right corner actions and select "Sell Similar"

  3. A new draft listing will be created using the original listing’s data

  4. Make any necessary adjustments

  5. Save and publish the new listing

The original listing remains unchanged.

Best Practices

  • Review all copied fields before publishing to ensure accuracy

  • Update any channel-specific requirements that differ between products

  • Use Sell Similar to maintain consistency while avoiding duplicate manual work

  • Combine Sell Similar with Custom Attributes for faster multi-channel listing creation

Summary

Sell Similar makes it easy to scale similar products without repetitive setup. By reusing existing listing data and allowing quick adjustments, sellers can create accurate, independent listings faster and with fewer errors.
