Send Orders to Shopify
Sync your marketplace orders into Shopify for a centralized view of all sales across your business.
Overview
The Send Orders to Shopify feature allows Listing Mirror to automatically send orders from your other marketplace integrations — such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart — directly into your Shopify store. Instead of juggling multiple platforms, you get one place to view and track every order, no matter where the sale originated.
You can control which marketplaces are included in the sync, how orders are named in your Shopify admin, and whether orders fulfilled by external services like Amazon FBA or Walmart WFS are imported as well.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following in place:
- An active Shopify integration connected to Listing Mirror
- At least one other marketplace integration (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart) with incoming orders
Enabling Send Orders to Shopify
- Go to Integrations > Manage Integrations and select your Shopify integration.
- Scroll down to the Orders section.
- Check the box for Send Orders to Shopify.
- Select a Default Location from the dropdown — this is the Shopify location where synced orders will be assigned.
- Click Save.
Note: A default location is required. If you skip this step, you'll receive a validation error when saving.
Configuration Options
Once the feature is enabled, you'll have access to the following settings.
Order Name Format
This controls how orders are labeled in your Shopify admin. Choose from three options:
- LM Order ID — Uses the Listing Mirror order ID (e.g., LM-ORDER-123456). This is the default.
- Shopify Auto — Lets Shopify generate sequential order numbers (e.g., #1001, #1002).
- Source Order ID — Uses the original marketplace order ID (e.g., 111-1234567-1234567).
Sync Orders From
If you have multiple marketplace integrations, this setting lets you choose which ones send orders to Shopify. Each connected marketplace appears as a checkbox — checked means orders from that marketplace will sync, unchecked means they won't. All marketplaces are included by default.
Note: This section only appears if you have more than one marketplace integration connected.
External Order Importing
By default, orders fulfilled by external services — like Amazon FBA or Walmart WFS — are excluded from the sync, since they're handled entirely by the fulfillment provider rather than your standard workflow.
External Order Importing lets you override this by mapping specific fulfillment sources to Shopify locations. Here's what to know:
- Inventory is not deducted. These orders bypass Shopify's inventory deduction to prevent double-counting, since the fulfillment provider already manages stock.
- Completed orders arrive as fulfilled. Orders that have already shipped are marked as fulfilled in Shopify automatically.
- Each source maps to one location. This keeps your Shopify admin organized and clearly shows where each order was fulfilled from.
Setting Up a Mapping
- Make sure Send Orders to Shopify is already enabled.
- Scroll to the External Order Importing block in the Orders section.
- Click + Add Mapping.
- Select a warehouse source from the left dropdown (e.g., your Amazon FBA warehouse).
- Select the Shopify location from the right dropdown where those orders should appear.
- Repeat for any additional fulfillment sources.
- Click Save.
Note: Each warehouse source can only be mapped once. Once assigned, it won't appear in the dropdown again. However, multiple sources can map to the same Shopify location.
Removing a Mapping
Click the trash icon next to the mapping you want to remove, then click Save. Orders from that source will stop syncing to Shopify going forward. Any previously imported orders will remain in your store.
Note: This section only appears if you have at least one external fulfillment source (e.g., an Amazon FBA or Walmart WFS warehouse) configured on your account.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do synced orders deduct inventory in Shopify? Standard merchant-fulfilled orders follow Shopify's normal inventory behavior. Orders imported through External Order Importing bypass inventory deduction entirely to avoid double-counting.
What happens if an order is canceled after it's been sent to Shopify? Cancellation handling follows your configured inventory restoration settings. See the Inventory Restoration for Canceled Orders article for details.
Can I sync orders to Shopify without syncing inventory? Yes. Send Orders to Shopify and inventory syncing are completely independent. You can enable order syncing without using Shopify for inventory management.
Why don't I see the External Order Importing section? This section only appears when Send Orders to Shopify is enabled and you have at least one external fulfillment source (e.g., Amazon FBA or Walmart WFS warehouse) configured on your account.
Why don't I see the Sync Orders From section? This section only appears when you have more than one marketplace integration connected to Listing Mirror.
