Learn how to use the data from your product to create new Walmart listings, avoiding common pitfalls
To start your Walmart journey, it's important that your product info meets Walmart's rules. Our guide will show you what info you need, where to find it, and the best way to enter it.
Common Pitfall: Missing UPC, GTIN, EAN, or ISBN
Walmart requires all listings to have a Product Identifier, known as a barcode. This information is typically imported from other marketplaces you've connected. However, if the information is missing, you'll need to find a way to provide this information.
Individual Products
- From the Manage Listings page, search for a product and click the title.
- In the Variations box, click Customize View.
- Enable one of the four barcode options (UPC, GTIN, EAN, or ISBN), followed by Save.
- In the barcode field, enter your barcode.
- Click Save or Save & Apply if the Walmart listings are already created.
Multiple Products Using Spreadsheets
- From the menu bar, click Reports, followed by Import / Export.
- From the dropdown, select Product Edit, followed by Download Template.
- Once downloaded, open the sheet and enter the appropriate data into any barcode cells.
- On the Actions sheet, switch UPC, GTIN, EAN, or ISBN from F to T.
- Save the sheet, head back to the Import / Export, and click Upload Template.

If the SKU you're joining already exists in Reflector, the listing will be associated with the existing product. Additionally, any quantity entered into the spreadsheet will be overwritten by what's already in Reflector. If the SKU doesn't exist, a new product and the proper quantity will be assigned.
Reflector will let you know once your item has matched or not in your notification center.
